Time For a Makeover

This website has been live for over 3 years and it has had the same look. It's way past time for a makeover. This website needs to be revamped.

Overall, I've been happy with the design, but it's time for some changes. Over the last two and a half years, I've been putting the vast majority of my time into my day job. Things are about to ease up and I'll have more time to write and do voice over. I have already volunteered to read for LibriVox. That's the Alpha Phi Omega alum in me. If I'm going to hone my narration chops with those guys, the least I can do is serve and to try to be a regular narrator for them.

And that's the rub. This has been primarily my author website. Now it must become my business website. With that in mind, am I an expert on web design?

Uh, no; not even close.

I'm pretty good with computers and technology, but I have little experience designing and setting up websites. However, there is no need to worry. Practice makes perfect. Back in the day, that's how I learned to write code (Basic, dBase III+ and IV). The first step, which I almost never do when writing stories, is plan. I'm writing what changes need to be made, what needs to be added, and what needs to go.

Then there is the alternative: Hire someone, a professional, to revamp my website.

It's an option worth evaluating. If the price is right, I may go that route. I'll play around by designing a free author/voice over website before doing anything here.

Let me know what you think.

Huh? Yup. In my last post, I said I was wrong about using the existing cover of Second Chance and decided to replace it with another design. Well, I've been convinced to keep the original cover. It be

And Sometimes, You're Wrong

When I published Second Chance, I fully believed the cover accurately reflected Gus Harrison's immaturity in the story. Instead, it appears I'm the only one who sees the cover this way. No problem. Wh
